Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour (Atta) 🌾
- 1 cup Warm Water 💧
- 1 tbsp Ghee/Oil 🧈
- Pinch of Salt 🧂
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour and salt. 🥣
- Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft, pliable dough. 🤲
- Add ghee/oil and knead again for 2-3 minutes. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.⏳
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball. 🟠
- Flatten each ball and roll it out into a thin, circular roti using a rolling pin. 🫓
- Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. 🔥
- Place the roti on the hot tawa and cook for about 30 seconds on each side, or until small bubbles start to appear. ♨️
- Flip the roti and cook for another 30 seconds. Now, using tongs, directly expose the roti to the flame until it puffs up. 🔥
- Remove the roti from the flame and brush it with ghee/butter. 🧈
- Serve hot with your favorite curry or side dish. Enjoy! 😋
