Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 1 cup, basmati preferred
- 💧 Water – 2 cups
- 🥄 Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 tbsp
- 🌱 Oil or Ghee – 1 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🍚 Rinse rice until water runs clear.
- 🔥 Heat oil/ghee in a pot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- 🍚 Add rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered until water is absorbed.
- 🥄 Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
