Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup, basmati preferred
  • 💧 Water – 2 cups
  • 🥄 Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 tbsp
  • 🌱 Oil or Ghee – 1 tbsp
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste

Instructions

  • 🍚 Rinse rice until water runs clear.
  • 🔥 Heat oil/ghee in a pot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • 🍚 Add rice and water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer covered until water is absorbed.
  • 🥄 Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
