Chicken Karaage

Ingredients

  • 🍗 Chicken thighs – 500g cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, grated
  • 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, freshly grated
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 2 tbsp
  • 🥔 Potato starch – ½ cup for coating
  • 🍳 Vegetable oil – for deep frying

Instructions

  • 🥣 Marinate chicken in soy sauce, ginger, and garlic for at least 15 minutes.
  • 🧥 Toss the marinated chicken in potato starch until each piece is lightly coated.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a deep pan to 340°F (170°C) and fry chicken in small batches.
  • ⏳ Fry for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • ✨ Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a wedge of lemon.
