Ingredients

  • 🍜 Udon noodles – 2 packs
  • 🥩 Thinly sliced beef – 8 oz
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 sliced
  • 🥬 Napa cabbage – 1/4 head, chopped
  • 🍄 Shiitake mushrooms – 6, sliced
  • 🌱 Enoki mushrooms – 1 pack
  • 🥢 Tofu – firm, cubed
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/4 cup
  • 砂糖 Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • 🍶 Mirin – 2 tbsp
  • 🍶 Sake – 2 tbsp
  • 🥚 Eggs – for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  • 🔪 Prepare all ingredients by slicing beef, chopping vegetables, and cubing tofu.
  • 🔥 In a pot or skillet, combine soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and sake to create the sukiyaki sauce; bring to a simmer.
  • 🍲 Add onions, napa cabbage, and mushrooms to the pot and cook until slightly softened.
  • 🥩 Add beef and tofu to the pot, cooking until the beef is cooked through and the tofu is heated.
  • 🍜 Add udon noodles and cook until heated through, stirring to coat them in the sauce. Serve hot, with optional raw egg for dipping.
