Ingredients
- 🌾 Besan (gram flour) – 2 cups
- 🧂 Salt – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Ajwain (carom seeds) – 1/2 tsp
- 🌶️ Papads khar or baking soda – 1/4 tsp
- 💧 Water – 1/2 cup (as needed)
- 🌻 Oil – for deep frying
Instructions
- 🥣 Mix flour, salt, ajwain, and soda in a bowl, then add oil and water to knead into a soft, smooth dough.
- 🫓 Take small portions of the dough and roll them into thin, long strips using the palm of your hand on a flat surface.
- 🔥 Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame until it is hot enough for frying.
- 🍳 Carefully drop the strips into the oil and fry until they turn light golden and become crispy.
- ✨ Drain on paper towels and serve warm with spicy green chutney or papaya sambharo.
