Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas (Chana) – boiled
  • 🥔 Potatoes – boiled and mashed
  • 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – chopped
  • 🌿 Coriander leaves – chopped
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • 🫙 Spices (cumin, coriander, chili powder) – 1 tsp each
  • 🍞 Breadcrumbs – for coating
  • 🛢️ Oil – for frying

Instructions

  • 🥔 Mash boiled potatoes and chickpeas together.
  • 🧅 Add chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, and spices to the mixture.
  • 🍋 Squeeze lemon juice and mix well. Form into small patties.
  • 🍞 Coat the patties with breadcrumbs.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with chutney.
