Ingredients

  • 🍡 Rice cakes (tteok) – 300g, soaked if hard
  • 🥘 Fish cakes – 2 sheets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 🌶️ Gochujang (Korean chili paste) – 2 tbsp
  • 🍯 Sugar or corn syrup – 1 tbsp
  • 🥣 Anchovy or kelp broth – 2 cups
  • 🧅 Green onions – 1 stalk, chopped

Instructions

  • 🥣 Combine broth, gochujang, and sugar in a pan and bring to a gentle boil.
  • 🍡 Add the rice cakes and stir frequently to ensure they don't stick to the bottom.
  • 🥘 Toss in the fish cakes and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats everything nicely.
  • ✨ Garnish with fresh green onions and serve immediately while hot and chewy.
