Ingredients

  • 🥩 Minced lamb or mutton – 500g finely ground
  • 🥣 Raw papaya paste – 2 tbsp (for tenderizing)
  • 🧅 Browned onion paste – 3 tbsp
  • 🫚 Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • ✨ Galouti spice mix – 2 tsp (clove, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg)
  • 🧈 Ghee – 3 tbsp for shallow frying
  • 🌿 Fresh mint and coriander – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🥣 Marinate the minced meat with papaya paste and spices, letting it rest for at least 1 hour to ensure a melt-in-the-mouth texture.
  • 🤲 Shape the mixture into small, thin, round patties with gentle hands.
  • 🔥 Heat ghee in a flat non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat.
  • 🍳 Shallow fry the kababs carefully for 3-4 minutes per side until they turn a deep golden brown.
  • 🍽️ Serve warm with mint chutney and lemon wedges for an authentic experience.
