Ingredients

  • 🥩 Mutton/Lamb – 500g cut into pieces
  • 🥣 Yogurt (Dahi) – 1 cup whisked
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 large thinly sliced
  • 🧄 Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Spices – Kashmiri chili, turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala
  • 🌿 Whole spices – bay leaf, cloves, and cardamom
  • 🥘 Cooking oil or Ghee – 3 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pot and sauté whole spices and onions until golden brown.
  • 🥩 Add the meat and ginger-garlic paste, searing until the meat changes color.
  • 🥣 Lower the heat and slowly stir in the whisked yogurt along with dry spices until well combined.
  • 🥘 Cover and simmer on low heat until the meat is tender and the oil separates from the gravy.
  • ✨ Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
