Ingredients
- 🥩 Mutton/Lamb – 500g cut into pieces
- 🥣 Yogurt (Dahi) – 1 cup whisked
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large thinly sliced
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- 🌶️ Spices – Kashmiri chili, turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala
- 🌿 Whole spices – bay leaf, cloves, and cardamom
- 🥘 Cooking oil or Ghee – 3 tbsp
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pot and sauté whole spices and onions until golden brown.
- 🥩 Add the meat and ginger-garlic paste, searing until the meat changes color.
- 🥣 Lower the heat and slowly stir in the whisked yogurt along with dry spices until well combined.
- 🥘 Cover and simmer on low heat until the meat is tender and the oil separates from the gravy.
- ✨ Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with naan or steamed rice.
