Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 2 cups, soaked
- 🥣 Chickpeas – 1 cup, boiled
- 🟢 Mung Dal – 1 cup, boiled
- 🥛 Yogurt – 1 cup, whisked
- 🥘 Ghee – 3 tbsp
- 🌶️ Whole Spices – cumin, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon
- 🧂 Turmeric & Salt – as per taste
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat ghee in a large pot and bloom the whole spices until fragrant.
- 🥣 Add the whisked yogurt to the pot, stirring constantly on low heat to prevent curdling.
- 🥘 Incorporate the boiled chickpeas and mung dal into the yogurt base and simmer.
- 🍚 Add the soaked rice and enough water to cook until fluffy and tender.
- ✨ Serve warm in traditional leaf plates to enjoy the authentic communal experience.
