Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas (Chole) – 2 cups, soaked overnight and boiled
  • 🧅 Onion – 2 medium, finely chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes – 2 large, pureed or finely chopped
  • 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tbsp
  • 🧂 Chole Masala – 2 tsp for authentic spice
  • 🌿 Fresh Cilantro – for garnish
  • 🛢️ Cooking Oil – 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions until they turn golden brown.
  • 🍅 Add ginger-garlic paste and tomato puree, cooking until the oil separates.
  • 🧂 Stir in chole masala, turmeric, and salt; cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • 🫘 Add boiled chickpeas and a cup of water, simmering until the gravy thickens.
  • ✨ Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with bhatura, puri, or rice.
