Ingredients
- 🥔 Potatoes – thinly sliced
- 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
- 🧀 Gruyere cheese – grated
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🌿 Thyme – fresh sprigs
- 🧈 Butter – for greasing
- 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- 🥔 Layer potato slices in the dish, overlapping slightly. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme between layers.
- 🧀 Pour heavy cream over the potatoes and sprinkle with Gruyere cheese.
- ⏲️ Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.
- 🔪 Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
