Ingredients

  • 🥔 Potatoes – thinly sliced
  • 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • 🧀 Gruyere cheese – grated
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 🌿 Thyme – fresh sprigs
  • 🧈 Butter – for greasing
  • 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • 🥔 Layer potato slices in the dish, overlapping slightly. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and thyme between layers.
  • 🧀 Pour heavy cream over the potatoes and sprinkle with Gruyere cheese.
  • ⏲️ Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, or until golden brown and tender.
  • 🔪 Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
