Ingredients

  • 🐷 Pork belly – 1.5 lbs
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/4 cup
  • 🍚 Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • ⭐️ Star anise – 2
  • 🌿 Ginger – 2 slices
  • 🌶️ Scallions – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🔪 Prepare pork belly by cutting into large pieces.
  • ♨️ Sear pork belly on all sides until golden brown.
  • 🥘 Add soy sauce, sugar, star anise, and ginger to the pot.
  • 💧 Add water to cover the pork belly and bring to a simmer.
  • ⏳ Simmer for 2 hours or until the pork belly is tender. Garnish with scallions.
