Ingredients
- 🐷 Pork belly – 1.5 lbs
- 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/4 cup
- 🍚 Sugar – 2 tbsp
- ⭐️ Star anise – 2
- 🌿 Ginger – 2 slices
- 🌶️ Scallions – for garnish
Instructions
- 🔪 Prepare pork belly by cutting into large pieces.
- ♨️ Sear pork belly on all sides until golden brown.
- 🥘 Add soy sauce, sugar, star anise, and ginger to the pot.
- 💧 Add water to cover the pork belly and bring to a simmer.
- ⏳ Simmer for 2 hours or until the pork belly is tender. Garnish with scallions.
