Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas – canned and drained
  • 🌿 Pesto – store-bought or homemade
  • 🍋 Lemon juice – fresh
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced
  • 💧 Olive oil – extra virgin
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌶️ Red pepper flakes – optional

Instructions

  • 🥣 Combine chickpeas, pesto, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor.
  • ⚙️ Process until smooth, adding olive oil gradually to reach desired consistency.
  • 💧 Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach a smooth and fluffy texture.
  • 🌶️ Stir in red pepper flakes, if desired.
  • ❄️ Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving with pita bread or vegetables.
