Ingredients
- 🫘 Chickpeas – canned and drained
- 🌿 Pesto – store-bought or homemade
- 🍋 Lemon juice – fresh
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 💧 Olive oil – extra virgin
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Red pepper flakes – optional
Instructions
- 🥣 Combine chickpeas, pesto, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor.
- ⚙️ Process until smooth, adding olive oil gradually to reach desired consistency.
- 💧 Add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach a smooth and fluffy texture.
- 🌶️ Stir in red pepper flakes, if desired.
- ❄️ Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving with pita bread or vegetables.
