Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
  • 🌱 Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
  • 💧 Water – 4 cups
  • 🧂 Salt – to taste
  • 🌿 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  • 🌱 Rinse rice and dal together.
  • 🔥 Sauté onions and ginger in ghee or oil.
  • 🥘 Add rice, dal, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
  • 💧 Add water and bring to a boil, then simmer.
  • 🍲 Cook until rice and dal are soft and mushy.
