Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 1 cup
- 🌱 Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🫚 Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
- 💧 Water – 4 cups
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌿 Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Instructions
- 🌱 Rinse rice and dal together.
- 🔥 Sauté onions and ginger in ghee or oil.
- 🥘 Add rice, dal, turmeric, and salt. Mix well.
- 💧 Add water and bring to a boil, then simmer.
- 🍲 Cook until rice and dal are soft and mushy.
