Ingredients

  • 🦆 Dry-aged duck – 1 whole
  • 🌿 Fresh thyme – a few sprigs
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
  • 🍊 Orange – 1, zested and juiced
  • 🍷 Red wine – 1/2 cup
  • 🧈 Butter – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • 🧂 Season the duck generously with salt and pepper inside and out.
  • 🍊 Stuff the cavity with thyme sprigs, garlic, and orange zest.
  • 🥘 Place the duck in a roasting pan and cook for about 1.5 hours, basting with pan juices and red wine every 20 minutes.
  • ✨ Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) for the last 15 minutes to crisp the skin. Let rest before carving and serving.
