Ingredients
- 🦆 Dry-aged duck – 1 whole
- 🌿 Fresh thyme – a few sprigs
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, crushed
- 🍊 Orange – 1, zested and juiced
- 🍷 Red wine – 1/2 cup
- 🧈 Butter – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- 🧂 Season the duck generously with salt and pepper inside and out.
- 🍊 Stuff the cavity with thyme sprigs, garlic, and orange zest.
- 🥘 Place the duck in a roasting pan and cook for about 1.5 hours, basting with pan juices and red wine every 20 minutes.
- ✨ Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) for the last 15 minutes to crisp the skin. Let rest before carving and serving.
