Ingredients

  • 🐷 Pork belly – 1.5 lbs
  • 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/2 cup
  • 🍚 Sugar – 2 tbsp
  • ⭐ Star anise – 2
  • 🌿 Ginger – 2 slices
  • 🧅 Scallions – 2 stalks, chopped

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear pork belly on all sides in a pot.
  • 🍶 Add soy sauce, sugar, star anise, and ginger.
  • 💧 Add water to cover the pork belly.
  • simmer on low heat for 2 hours, or until tender.
  • 🔪 Slice and serve with rice and chopped scallions.
