Ingredients

  • 🐇 Rabbit meat – 1.5 lbs, cut into pieces
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
  • 🍄 White mushrooms – 8 oz, sliced
  • 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • 🌿 Fresh thyme – 2 sprigs
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🧈 Butter – 2 tbsp
  • 🍚 Flour – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🐇 Season rabbit pieces with salt, pepper, and flour.
  • 🔥 In a large pot, melt butter and brown the rabbit pieces on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  • 🧅 Add chopped onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
  • 🍄 Add sliced mushrooms and thyme sprigs; cook until mushrooms are tender.
  • 🥛 Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Return the rabbit to the pot and simmer gently for 20 minutes, or until rabbit is tender.
  • 🧂 Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
