Ingredients
- 🐇 Rabbit meat – 1.5 lbs, cut into pieces
- 🧅 Onion – 1 large, chopped
- 🍄 White mushrooms – 8 oz, sliced
- 🥛 Heavy cream – 1 cup
- 🌿 Fresh thyme – 2 sprigs
- 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
- 🧈 Butter – 2 tbsp
- 🍚 Flour – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 🐇 Season rabbit pieces with salt, pepper, and flour.
- 🔥 In a large pot, melt butter and brown the rabbit pieces on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- 🧅 Add chopped onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until softened.
- 🍄 Add sliced mushrooms and thyme sprigs; cook until mushrooms are tender.
- 🥛 Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Return the rabbit to the pot and simmer gently for 20 minutes, or until rabbit is tender.
- 🧂 Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
