Ingredients

  • 🥩 Beef cheeks – 500g
  • 🧅 Onions – 2 medium, chopped
  • 🥕 Carrots – 2, chopped
  • 🌿 Thyme – 2 sprigs
  • 🍷 Red wine – 250ml
  • 🍲 Beef broth – 500ml
  • 🧄 Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
  • 🧂 Salt & pepper – to taste
  • 🫘 Olive oil – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sear beef cheeks in olive oil until browned on all sides.
  • 🧅 Sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until softened.
  • 🍷 Deglaze pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
  • 🍲 Add beef cheeks, beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • 🥘 Simmer covered for 3-4 hours, or until beef is very tender.
  • ✨ Serve with mashed potatoes or polenta for a comforting meal.
