Sweet braised pork ribs

Ingredients
- 🍖 Pork ribs – 2 lbs
- 🍶 Soy sauce – 1/2 cup
- 🍯 Honey – 1/4 cup
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🌿 Ginger – 1 tbsp, grated
- 🌶️ Chili flakes – 1/2 tsp (optional)
- ⭐ Star anise – 2 pieces
- 🧅 Onion – 1, chopped
Instructions
- 🔥 Sear pork ribs in a pot until browned on all sides.
- 🧅 Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté for 2 minutes.
- 🍶 Pour in soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, chili flakes (if using), and star anise.
- 💧 Add enough water to cover the ribs. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until ribs are tender.
- ♨️ Remove ribs from the pot and increase heat to reduce the sauce to a glaze. Return ribs to the pot and coat with the glaze. Serve hot.
