Spicy Beef Gimbap

Ingredients
- Cooked rice 🍚 (4 cups)
- Ground beef 🥩 (1 lb)
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste)🌶️ (2 tbsp)
- Soy sauce 간장 (1 tbsp)
- Sugar 설탕 (1 tsp)
- Garlic 마늘 (minced 🧄, 1 clove)
- Sesame oil 참기름 (1 tbsp + for brushing)
- Spinach 시금치 (1 bunch, blanched and seasoned)
- Carrots 당근 (1 medium, julienned)
- Yellow pickled radish 단무지 (8 slices)
- Dried seaweed sheets 김 (8 sheets)
- Eggs 계란 (2, beaten and fried into thin omelets)
- Salt 소금 (to taste)
- Black pepper 후추 (to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: In a bowl, mix ground beef with gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. 🥣 Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the beef: In a pan, stir-fry the marinated beef until fully cooked. Set aside to cool. 🔥
- Prepare the rice: Season the cooked rice with a little sesame oil and salt. Mix well.🍚
- Prepare other fillings: Cut the fried egg omelets into strips. Slice the pickled radish and carrots into thin strips.🥕
- Assemble the gimbap: Place a sheet of seaweed on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread a thin layer of rice evenly over the seaweed, leaving about an inch of space at the top.🍙
- Add fillings: Arrange a line of cooked beef, spinach, carrots, pickled radish, and egg strips across the center of the rice. 🥬🥩🥚
- Roll the gimbap: Using the bamboo mat, tightly roll the gimbap from the bottom up. Press firmly to seal the roll. 🥢
- Brush with sesame oil: Brush the finished gimbap roll with sesame oil.✨
