Ingredients
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 1 cup, rinsed and drained
- 🥣 Yellow Lentils (Dal) – 1/2 cup, soaked
- 🥦 Mixed Vegetables – 2 cups, chopped (carrots, beans, peas)
- 🧅 Onion & Tomato – 1 each, finely chopped
- 🌶️ Turmeric & Cumin – 1 tsp each for seasoning
- 🥛 Plain Yogurt – 1 small bowl as a side
- 🌿 Fresh Cilantro – for garnish
Instructions
- 🍚 Cook the rice in boiling water until fluffy, then drain and set aside.
- 🍲 Pressure cook the lentils with turmeric and salt until soft and creamy.
- 🥦 Sauté the mixed vegetables with cumin and spices until they are tender.
- 🔥 Prepare a quick tempering by frying onions and tomatoes to mix into the lentils.
- 🍽️ Arrange the rice, lentils, and vegetables on a large plate and serve with yogurt.
