Ingredients

  • 🍗 Chicken or Pork cutlets – pounded thin
  • 🍞 Panko breadcrumbs – for a crunchy crust
  • 🥚 Egg – 1 large, beaten
  • 🌾 All-purpose flour – for dusting
  • 🍚 Cooked white rice – the bowl base
  • 🥬 Cabbage – thinly shredded
  • 🤎 Katsu sauce – for drizzling
  • 🛢️ Cooking oil – for shallow frying

Instructions

  • 🍗 Coat the meat in flour, dip into the egg, and press firmly into panko crumbs.
  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  • 🔪 Slice the crispy fried meat into thick strips after letting it rest for a minute.
  • 🍚 Fill bowls with warm rice and top with a pile of fresh shredded cabbage.
  • ✨ Place the sliced katsu on top, drizzle with plenty of sauce, and serve.
