Ingredients
- 🥩 NY Strip Steak – 1 inch thick
- 🫒 Olive Oil – 1 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🌶️ Black Pepper – to taste
- 🌿 Fresh Rosemary – 1 sprig (optional)
- 🧄 Garlic – 1 clove, crushed (optional)
Instructions
- 🔥 Preheat skillet (cast iron preferred) on high heat.
- 🧂 Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
- 🫒 Add oil to the hot skillet; Sear steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- 🌿 Add rosemary and garlic (optional) during the last minute of cooking.
- ⏱️ Let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain and serving.
