Ingredients

  • 🍝 Mezze Maniche pasta – 1 pound
  • 🍅 Canned crushed tomatoes – 28 ounces
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🌿 Fresh basil – chopped
  • 🧀 Parmesan cheese – grated
  • Olive oil
  • 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
  • 🧂 Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 🧅 Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil until softened.
  • 🍅 Add crushed tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • 🍝 Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve some pasta water.
  • 🥘 Add cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat, adding pasta water if needed.
  • 🌿 Garnish with fresh basil and parmesan cheese. Serve hot. ✨
