Ingredients
- 🍝 Maccheroncini pasta – 1 pound
- 🧅 Onion – 1 small, chopped
- 🥩 Ground meat (beef or pork) – 1/2 pound
- 🍅 Tomato sauce – 2 cups
- 🧀 Parmesan cheese – grated, for serving
- 🌿 Fresh basil – for garnish
- 🫒 Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- 🍷 Red wine – 1/4 cup (optional)
Instructions
- 🔥 Heat olive oil in a large pan. Add onion and cook until softened.
- 🥩 Add ground meat and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned.
- 🍷 Pour in red wine (if using) and let it simmer for a minute.
- 🍅 Stir in tomato sauce and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 🍝 Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and add to the sauce.
- 🧀 Serve immediately with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
