Ingredients
- 🍵 Black tea bags – 8 units
- 🍬 Cane sugar – 1 cup
- 🍋 Fresh lemongrass stalks – 3 stalks
- 🫙 Kombucha SCOBY – 1 culture
- 💧 Filtered water – 4 liters
- 🧪 Starter liquid – 2 cups
Instructions
- 🫖 Boil water and steep tea with sugar, then let it cool to room temperature.
- 🌿 Bruise the lemongrass stalks and add them to the cooled tea base.
- 🫙 Pour the tea into a glass jar, add the SCOBY and starter liquid, and cover with a cloth.
- ⏳ Store in a warm, dark place for 7–10 days to allow fermentation to occur.
- ✨ Remove SCOBY and lemongrass, strain the liquid, and refrigerate before serving.
