Lemon Grass Kombucha

Ingredients

  • 🍵 Black tea bags – 8 units
  • 🍬 Cane sugar – 1 cup
  • 🍋 Fresh lemongrass stalks – 3 stalks
  • 🫙 Kombucha SCOBY – 1 culture
  • 💧 Filtered water – 4 liters
  • 🧪 Starter liquid – 2 cups

Instructions

  • 🫖 Boil water and steep tea with sugar, then let it cool to room temperature.
  • 🌿 Bruise the lemongrass stalks and add them to the cooled tea base.
  • 🫙 Pour the tea into a glass jar, add the SCOBY and starter liquid, and cover with a cloth.
  • ⏳ Store in a warm, dark place for 7–10 days to allow fermentation to occur.
  • ✨ Remove SCOBY and lemongrass, strain the liquid, and refrigerate before serving.
