Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef tenderloin (or sirloin), finely sliced 🥩
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce 🍶
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil 🫘
- 1 tbsp Sugar 🍚
- 1 tbsp Korean pear, grated 🍐
- 1 tsp Garlic, minced 🧄
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper 🌶️
- 1 Egg yolk (optional) 🥚
- Sesame seeds, for garnish 🌱
- Korean pear slices, for serving (optional) 🍐
Instructions
- Prepare the beef: Ensure the beef is very fresh and has been properly handled. Finely slice the beef into thin strips. 🔪
- Make the marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, grated Korean pear, minced garlic, and black pepper. Whisk well. 🥣
- Marinate the beef: Add the sliced beef to the marinade and gently mix until all the beef is coated evenly. 🥄
- Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. ❄️
- Plate: Arrange the marinated beef on a serving plate. Create a small well in the center if you are using an egg yolk. 🍽️
- Add egg yolk (optional): Gently place an egg yolk in the center of the beef. 🥚
- Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the beef and around the plate. 🌱
- Serve: Serve immediately with Korean pear slices, if desired. Enjoy! 🎉
