Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef tenderloin (or sirloin), finely sliced 🥩
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce 🍶
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil 🫘
  • 1 tbsp Sugar 🍚
  • 1 tbsp Korean pear, grated 🍐
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced 🧄
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper 🌶️
  • 1 Egg yolk (optional) 🥚
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish 🌱
  • Korean pear slices, for serving (optional) 🍐

Instructions

  • Prepare the beef: Ensure the beef is very fresh and has been properly handled. Finely slice the beef into thin strips. 🔪
  • Make the marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, grated Korean pear, minced garlic, and black pepper. Whisk well. 🥣
  • Marinate the beef: Add the sliced beef to the marinade and gently mix until all the beef is coated evenly. 🥄
  • Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. ❄️
  • Plate: Arrange the marinated beef on a serving plate. Create a small well in the center if you are using an egg yolk. 🍽️
  • Add egg yolk (optional): Gently place an egg yolk in the center of the beef. 🥚
  • Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the beef and around the plate. 🌱
  • Serve: Serve immediately with Korean pear slices, if desired. Enjoy! 🎉
