Ingredients

  • 🥚 Eggs – 6 large, separated
  • ☕ Espresso powder – 2 tbsp dissolved in water
  • 🌰 Hazelnuts – 1/2 cup finely ground
  • 🍰 Cake flour – 2 cups sifted
  • 🍬 Granulated sugar – 1.5 cups
  • 🥣 Baking powder – 2 tsp
  • 🌻 Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
  • 🍫 Cocoa powder – 1/4 cup

Instructions

  • 🥣 Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and ground hazelnuts in a large bowl.
  • 🥚 Separate egg whites and beat until stiff peaks form; mix yolks with oil, espresso, and water.
  • ⚖️ Gently fold the dry ingredients into the yolk mixture, then carefully fold in the stiff egg whites.
  • 🎂 Pour the light batter into an ungreased tube pan and bake at 325°F (165°C) until golden brown.
  • ✨ Invert the pan while cooling to maintain the airy structure, then remove and serve.
