Ingredients
- 🌽 Cornmeal – 1 cup
- 🥛 Sour Milk – 1 cup (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
- 🥚 Egg – 1 large
- 🧈 Melted Butter – 1/4 cup
- 🧂 Salt – 1/2 tsp
- 🥄 Baking Soda – 1/2 tsp
- 🍚 Sugar – 2 tbsp (optional)
Instructions
- 🥣 Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking pan.
- 🥛 In a bowl, mix sour milk, egg, and melted butter.
- 🌽 In another bowl, whisk together cornmeal, salt, baking soda, and sugar (if using).
- 🥣 Combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- 🔥 Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
