Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef chuck – 3 lbs, cut into large chunks
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large, chopped
- 🥕 Carrots – 2, chopped
- 🌿 Thyme – 2 sprigs
- 🍷 Red wine – 1 cup
- 🥣 Beef broth – 4 cups
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🧂 Salt and pepper – to taste
- 🌻 Olive oil – 2 tbsp
Instructions
- 🔥 Sear beef in olive oil until browned on all sides.
- 🧅 Sauté onions, carrots, and garlic until softened.
- 🍷 Deglaze the pot with red wine, scraping up any browned bits.
- 🥣 Add beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- 🥘 Cover and braise in a 325°F (160°C) oven for 3 hours, or until beef is very tender.
- ✨ Serve hot with mashed potatoes or crusty bread.
