Ingredients
- 🌊 Unagi (eel) – 2 fillets
- 🍚 Cooked Rice – 2 bowls
- 🍶 Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp
- 🍯 Mirin – 1 tbsp
- 🍥 Sugar – 1 tsp
- 🌱 Nori (seaweed) – for garnish
- 🌶️ Sansho pepper – to taste (optional)
Instructions
- 🔪 Prepare Unagi: Cut into serving size pieces.
- ♨️ Make Sauce: Combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- 🦣 Grill or Broil: Baste unagi with sauce and grill/broil until heated through and glazed.
- 🍚 Serve: Place rice in bowls, top with unagi, and drizzle with extra sauce.
- 🌱 Garnish: Sprinkle with nori and sansho pepper.
