Sauerkraut fish

Ingredients

  • 🐟 Fish fillets – 2 (cod or similar)
  • 🥬 Sauerkraut – 1 cup, drained
  • 🧅 Onion – 1/2, sliced
  • 🥓 Bacon – 2 slices, chopped
  • 🌿 Dill – Fresh, chopped
  • 🍋 Lemon – 1/2, juiced

Instructions

  • 🥓 Fry bacon until crispy, remove and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.
  • 🧅 Sauté the onion in the bacon fat until softened.
  • 🥬 Add the sauerkraut and cook for 5 minutes.
  • 🐟 Place fish on top of sauerkraut, cover and cook until fish is flaky (about 10-15 minutes).
  • 🌿 Garnish with crispy bacon, fresh dill, and lemon juice before serving.
