Ingredients
- 🌿 Mustard Greens (Sarson) – 1 kg
- 🍃 Spinach – 250g
- 🧅 Onion – 1 medium, chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- 🌶️ Green Chillies – 2-3, chopped
- 🧈 Ghee – 2 tbsp
- 🌾 Ginger – 1 inch piece, grated
- 🌽 Maize Flour (Makki ka Atta) – 2 tbsp
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🥬 Wash and chop mustard greens and spinach.
- 🍲 Pressure cook greens with ginger, garlic, green chilies, and salt with some water for 15-20 minutes.
- 🥄 Mash the cooked greens well. Add maize flour and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 🔥 In a separate pan, heat ghee and sauté chopped onion until golden brown.
- 🥣 Add the sautéed onions to the saag and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve hot.
