Penne Aglio e Olio

Ingredients

  • 🍝 Penne pasta – 8 oz
  • 🧄 Garlic – 4 cloves, thinly sliced
  • 🌶️ Red pepper flakes – 1/2 tsp
  • 🌿 Fresh parsley – chopped
  • Olive oil – 1/4 cup
  • Salt and pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 💧 Cook penne pasta according to package directions until al dente.
  • 🧄 While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan and add garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook until garlic is golden but not burnt.
  • 🍝 Drain pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  • 🥘 Add pasta to the pan with garlic oil. Toss to coat, adding pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
  • 🌿 Stir in parsley, season with salt and pepper, and serve immediately.
