Ingredients
- 🥣 Gram flour (besan) – 1 cup
- 🥛 Yogurt – 1 cup
- 💧 Water – 1 cup
- 🌶️ Ginger-green chili paste – 1 tsp
- 🌿 Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- 🌱 Asafoetida (hing) – a pinch
- 🥥 Grated coconut – for garnish
- 🌿 Cilantro – for garnish
- ⚫ Mustard seeds – for tempering
- 🌿 Curry leaves – for tempering
Instructions
- 🥣 Mix gram flour, yogurt, water, ginger-chili paste, turmeric, and asafoetida to form a smooth batter.
- 🔥 Cook the batter in a pan over medium heat, stirring continuously until it thickens and forms a lump-free paste.
- ⚪ Spread the cooked batter thinly and evenly on a clean, flat surface like a greased plate or countertop.
- 🔪 Allow it to cool slightly, then cut into strips and roll them tightly.
- ✨ Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves and garnish with grated coconut and cilantro. Serve fresh.
