Ingredients
- 🍚 Rice – 2 cups
- 🌱 Urad Dal – 1 cup
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 🥄 Oil – for greasing
Instructions
- 🌱 Soak rice and urad dal separately for 4-5 hours.
- 🍚 Grind them separately into smooth batters, then mix together with salt.
- 🥣 Allow the batter to ferment overnight or for 8-12 hours.
- 🔥 Grease idli molds and pour the batter into them.
- ♨️ Steam the idlis in a steamer for 10-12 minutes until cooked through and fluffy.
