Ingredients

  • 🫘 Chickpeas (Chana) - 1 cup
  • 🌾 All-purpose flour (Maida) - 2 cups
  • 🧅 Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • 🍅 Tomatoes - 2 medium, pureed
  • 🧄 Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • 🌶️ Spices (cumin, coriander, chili powder) - to taste
  • 🌿 Fresh cilantro - for garnish
  • 💧 Oil - for frying

Instructions

  • 🥘 Soak chickpeas overnight and cook until tender.
  • 🔥 Prepare the chana masala by sautéing onions, ginger-garlic paste, and tomatoes with spices.
  • 💧 Add cooked chickpeas to the masala and simmer.
  • 🌾 Prepare bhatura dough and deep-fry until golden brown and puffy.
  • 🌿 Serve hot chana with bhatura, garnished with cilantro.
