Ingredients

  • 🥔 Potato – boiled and mashed
  • 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
  • 🫑 Green bell pepper – finely chopped
  • 🍞 Burger buns – 2
  • 🌿 Cilantro – chopped
  • 🌶️ Green chilies – finely chopped (optional)
  • 🫘 Chickpea flour (besan) – for binding
  • 🧂 Spices – turmeric, chili powder, garam masala
  • 🧈 Butter/Oil – for frying

Instructions

  • 🥔 Mix mashed potatoes with onions, bell pepper, cilantro, green chilies (if using), besan, and spices.
  • 🤏 Shape the mixture into small patties (tikkis).
  • 🔥 Heat butter or oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until golden brown on both sides.
  • 🍞 Lightly toast the burger buns.
  • ✨ Assemble the Bun Tikki: Place the tikki inside the bun and add chutney or other desired toppings. Serve hot!
