Ingredients
- 🥛 Milk – 250ml, lukewarm
- 🌾 Flour – 500g, strong bread flour
- 🥚 Egg – 1 large
- 🧈 Butter – 50g, melted
- 🍬 Sugar – 50g
- 🍥 Yeast – 7g, dry instant
- 🍓 Jam – for filling
- ✨ Icing sugar – for dusting
Instructions
- 🍥 Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm milk. Let stand for 5 minutes.
- 🌾 Combine flour, egg, and melted butter in a bowl. Add milk mixture. Mix until a smooth dough forms.
- ⏳ Let dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 🔥 Roll out dough and cut into circles. Fill with jam. Seal edges well.
- 🛢️ Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Dust with icing sugar and serve.
