Ingredients
- 🥩 Beef – 1 kg, cut into pieces
- 🍚 Basmati Rice – 2 cups
- 🧅 Onions – 2 large, sliced
- 🧄 Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsp
- 🌶️ Green Chillies – 3-4, slit
- 🌿 Mint Leaves – handful
- 🌱 Coriander Leaves – handful
- 🍶 Yogurt – 1 cup
- 🥄 Biryani Masala – 2 tbsp
- 🥄 Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
- 🥄 Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
- 🥄 Garam Masala – 1 tsp
- 🍋 Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp
- 🥄 Ghee – 2 tbsp
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
Instructions
- 🥩 Marinate beef with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, biryani masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- 🧅 Fry onions until golden brown and crispy. Set aside some for garnish.
- 🍚 Soak rice for 30 minutes. Cook rice until 70% done with salt and whole spices.
- 🥘 In a large pot, layer marinated beef, rice, fried onions, mint, and coriander leaves. Drizzle with ghee and lemon juice.
- 🔥 Cover the pot tightly and cook on low heat (dum) for 30-40 minutes until beef is tender and rice is fully cooked. Garnish with remaining fried onions and serve hot.
