Ingredients
- 🍞 Bread flour – 2 cups
- 🥛 Warm milk – 1/2 cup
- 🥯 Instant yeast – 1 tsp
- 🍬 Sugar – 3 tbsp
- 🫘 Red bean paste (Anko) – 1 cup
- 🧈 Unsalted butter – 2 tbsp
- 🥚 Egg – 1 beaten (for glaze)
Instructions
- 🥣 Mix flour, milk, sugar, and yeast to form a soft dough, then knead in butter until smooth.
- ⏳ Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 🫘 Divide dough into 8 pieces, flatten, and wrap a spoonful of red bean paste inside each, sealing tightly.
- ⏲️ Place buns on a tray, brush with egg wash, and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 15 minutes until golden.
- ✨ Cool slightly on a wire rack and enjoy these sweet, soft traditional treats.
