Ingredients

  • 🍚 Rice wine – 1 cup
  • 🍬 Sugar – 1 cup
  • 🌿 Ginger – sliced, to taste
  • 🧄 Garlic – minced, to taste
  • 🧅 Scallions – for garnish

Instructions

  • 🔥 Heat oil in a pot or wok over medium-high heat.
  • 🍗 Brown the chicken pieces on all sides.
  • 🍶 Add soy sauce, rice wine, and sugar to the pot.
  • 🌿 Add ginger and garlic, bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cover.
  • ⏳ Simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened, and the chicken is cooked through. Garnish with scallions before serving.
