Ingredients

  • 🌱 Warabi starch – 1/2 cup
  • 💧 Water – 2 cups
  • 🍬 Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • 🌿 Kinako (roasted soybean flour) – for dusting
  • 🍯 Kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup) – for serving

Instructions

  • 🥣 In a pot, mix warabi starch, sugar, and water until dissolved.
  • 🔥 Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until translucent and thick.
  • 🧊 Pour into a pan and chill in the refrigerator until firm.
  • 🔪 Cut into bite-sized pieces and coat with kinako.
  • 🍯 Serve with kuromitsu for a sweet finish.
