Ingredients

  • 🥩 Beef or Pork – cut into stew-sized pieces
  • 🧅 Onion – chopped
  • 🥕 Carrots – chopped
  • 🌿 Celery – chopped
  • 🍅 Tomato paste – 2 tablespoons
  • 🍷 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano – 750ml bottle
  • 🌿 Herbs (rosemary, thyme) – to taste
  • 🧄 Garlic – 2 cloves, minced
  • 🫒 Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
  • 🧂 Salt & Pepper – to taste

Instructions

  • 🔥 In a large pot, brown the beef or pork in olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • 🧅 Add onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook until softened.
  • 🧄 Stir in garlic and tomato paste, cook for another minute.
  • 🍷 Pour in the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, bring to a simmer, and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.
  • 🌿 Add herbs, salt, and pepper. Cover and simmer for at least 2 hours, or until the meat is very tender.
  • ✨ Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
