Ingredients
- 🥔 Potato – boiled and mashed
- 🫓 Pav – (Indian bread rolls)
- 🌶️ Green chilies – finely chopped
- 🧄 Garlic – minced
- 🧅 Onion – sliced
- 🌿 Coriander – chopped
- 💛 Besan (gram flour) – for batter
- 🫘 Mustard seeds – for tempering
- 🌱 Curry leaves – for tempering
- 🧂 Spices – turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder
Instructions
- 🥔 Prepare potato filling: Mash potatoes, add spices, chilies, garlic, and coriander. Mix well.
- 💛 Prepare besan batter: Mix besan with water and spices to form a thick batter.
- 🔥 Heat oil in a pan. Make small balls from the potato mixture, dip in batter, and deep fry until golden brown (vada).
- 🌶️ Prepare dry garlic chutney: Grind garlic, red chilies, and salt into a coarse powder.
- 🫓 Assemble vadapav: Cut pav in half, spread chutney, insert vada, add sliced onion and serve hot.
