Ingredients
- 🍚 Urad dal – 1 cup
- 🌾 Rice flour – 2 cups
- 🧅 Onion – finely chopped
- 🌶️ Green chilies – finely chopped
- 🥕 Carrot – grated
- 🌿 Cilantro – chopped
- 🧂 Salt – to taste
- 💧 Water – as needed
- 🛢️ Oil – for cooking
Instructions
- 🥣 Soak urad dal and rice separately for 4-5 hours. Grind them to a smooth batter and ferment overnight.
- 🧅 Add chopped onions, green chilies, grated carrot, cilantro, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
- 🔥 Heat a griddle or pan. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it gently into a thick pancake.
- 🛢️ Drizzle oil around the edges and cook on medium heat until golden brown and crispy.
- 🔄 Flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Serve hot with chutney or sambar. Enjoy! 😋
