Ingredients

  • 8 large scallops 🐚
  • 1/4 cup mentaiko (spicy cod roe) 🍣
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 🥫
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 🧈
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 🧄
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder 🧅
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 🌶️
  • Salt and pepper to taste 🧂

Instructions

  • Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat 🔥.
  • Season the scallops with salt and pepper 🧂.
  • In a bowl, mix mentaiko, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes 🥄.
  • Add butter to the pan and let it melt 🧈.
  • Place scallops in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown 🟠.
  • Spread the mentaiko mixture on top of the cooked scallops 🍽️.
