Ingredients
- 🍕 Pizza dough – store-bought or homemade
- 🍅 Tomato passata – 1/2 cup
- 🧀 Mozzarella cheese – fresh and sliced
- 🌿 Fresh basil – a handful of leaves
- 🫒 Extra virgin olive oil – 1 tablespoon
- 🧂 Sea salt – a pinch
Instructions
- 🥣 Preheat your oven to its highest setting (around 500°F/260°C) with a pizza stone or tray inside.
- 🖐️ Stretch the dough into a thin, rectangular shape on a piece of parchment paper.
- 🥫 Spread a thin layer of tomato passata over the dough, leaving room for the crust edge.
- 🧀 Top with mozzarella slices and a drizzle of olive oil, then bake until the crust is golden and crisp.
- ✨ Remove from oven, scatter fresh basil leaves on top, and slice to serve immediately.
