Ingredients

  • 🥩 Beef – cubed
  • 🥥 Coconut Milk – fresh
  • 🌶️ Chili Paste – blend of red chilies
  • 🧅 Onions – ground
  • 🧄 Garlic – ground
  • 🌿 Ginger – ground
  • 🍃 Lemongrass – bruised
  • 🍋 Kaffir Lime Leaves – sliced

Instructions

  • 🔥 Sauté ground spices and lemongrass in a large pot until fragrant.
  • 🥩 Add beef and kaffir lime leaves, stirring until beef is browned.
  • 🥥 Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • 🥘 Reduce heat to low and cook for about 3 hours, or until the sauce has thickened and the beef is tender.
  • ✨ Stir frequently to prevent sticking, and cook until the rendang is dark brown and rich in flavor. Serve hot with rice.
